Your website should feel like having a friend over for coffee; inviting, warm, conversational.
With the slew of content marketing strategies available today, it’s even easier to maximize your little piece on the interweb.
We have just a handful of seconds to communicate our message to new website visitors. Since we are intimately connected with our business and offerings, it’s easy to assume who we are and what we do is crystal clear to everyone. This cannot be further from the truth! Perfecting our elevator pitch can help us to clarify the following important questions:
Who am I?Who do I serve? How do I solve my ideal client’s problem?
Tip: Look at your homepage and see if a new visitor could easily answer the above questions. If not, go back to the drawing board and revise.

After 16 years of working in schools and ed-tech companies, Tamara Kemper had accidentally become an expert in getting things done. Now, as the founder of Process Mentors, she helps small business owners scale their businesses through better back-end processes and internal training.
Tamara lives in Phoenix, AZ where she can frequently be found singing and playing the ukulele with her little ones or continuing her quest to read all the books.
Tamara experienced not having a lot of power or flexibility when she worked in the educational system and uncovered a lot of limitations. This opened up an opportunity to work with a local tech ed company where she quickly realized that she loved working with adults and helping them learn.
She herself is a forever learner and problem solver. She started focusing on how to make things work better and...
As business owners, we can run ourselves ragged!
The days fly by without notice of how many hours we’re spending in front of the computer, sitting at a desk, cruising around, whatever it may be.
Our heads are buried in paperwork, our “to do” lists, our scroll. It’s so easy to neglect to tune into our bodies, minds, and especially heart with this kind of routine.
How can we stay uber-productive AND have time to care for ourselves?
First, we have to overcome our self-objections to self-care.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say, “Oh, a massage…that’s indulgent.” OR “Sounds nice, but I just don’t have it in the budget.” OR “I feel guilty or selfish when I pencil in ‘me’ time.”
These statements are not true. They are from critical beliefs; patterns that have lodged themselves in our...
Cindy Black, L.Ac. is the founder of Big Tree School of Natural Healing, and the author of Meridian Massage, Opening Pathways to Vitality. Initially trained as a Massage Therapist, she dove into Chinese Medicine when the opportunity presented itself. Based on her experiences, she integrated Classical Chinese Medicine, western massage therapy, lifestyle adjustments, and movement practices into the Meridian Massage Approach.
Cindy is no stranger when it comes to spinning out on the solopreneur journey. Whether it was initially trying to do what all the “expert marketers” told her she should or just general overwhelm that comes with the entrepreneurial path.
She applied her grounded in simplicity philosophy to business and discovered that you could simplify greatly and succeed.
She advises choosing fewer things,...
It’s a common fear that who we are, and what we have to offer is not enough. How we are hardwired to avoid rejection, the way we were raised, and even playing the comparison game, all play a part of this debilitating belief. The belief in “not-enoughness.”
When we are stuck in feeling less than, it paralyzes us from taking action, moving forward, and sharing our talents. It’s almost like PTSD in the way that we can’t seem to get past the thoughts of not being good enough, thin enough, smart enough, rich enough, etc. I’ve seen this pattern gobble up years of people’s lives (including mine). And it’s senseless.
Who says when enough is enough? There isn’t some superpower that reigns overhead with a checklist and cloke. I believe it’s the inner critique within us...
Here are the highlights of my interview with Gina Tager: Mind Body Eating Coach on Women Developing Brilliance.
Gina Tager is a Body Mind Eating Coach, certified by the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.
