5 Ways to Up Your Website Game

Feb 11, 2019

Top tips for easy and quick website improvements

Your website should feel like having a friend over for coffee; inviting, warm, conversational.

With the slew of content marketing strategies available today, it’s even easier to maximize your little piece on the interweb.

Here are 5 ways to up your website game NOW:

1. Clarity

We have just a handful of seconds to communicate our message to new website visitors. Since we are intimately connected with our business and offerings, it’s easy to assume who we are and what we do is crystal clear to everyone. This cannot be further from the truth! Perfecting our elevator pitch can help us to clarify the following important questions:

Who am I?Who do I serve? How do I solve my ideal client’s problem?

Tip: Look at your homepage and see if a new visitor could easily answer the above questions. If not, go back to the drawing board and revise.

2. Simplicity

The adage less is more definitely applies when it comes to...

Overcoming Self-Objections to Solopreneur Self-Care

Jan 28, 2019

How to overcome your objections to self-care

As business owners, we can run ourselves ragged!

Who can relate?

The days fly by without notice of how many hours we’re spending in front of the computer, sitting at a desk, cruising around, whatever it may be.

Our heads are buried in paperwork, our “to do” lists, our scroll. It’s so easy to neglect to tune into our bodies, minds, and especially heart with this kind of routine.

So how do we change it?

How can we stay uber-productive AND have time to care for ourselves?

First, we have to overcome our self-objections to self-care.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say, “Oh, a massage…that’s indulgent.” OR “Sounds nice, but I just don’t have it in the budget.” OR “I feel guilty or selfish when I pencil in ‘me’ time.”

These statements are not true. They are from critical beliefs; patterns that have lodged themselves in our...

You Are Enough

Jan 14, 2019

When you feel like you’re not enough, read on for some encouragement.

Truth: You are enough.

It’s a common fear that who we are, and what we have to offer is not enough. How we are hardwired to avoid rejection, the way we were raised, and even playing the comparison game, all play a part of this debilitating belief. The belief in “not-enoughness.”

Feeling not enough is paralyzing.

When we are stuck in feeling less than, it paralyzes us from taking action, moving forward, and sharing our talents. It’s almost like PTSD in the way that we can’t seem to get past the thoughts of not being good enough, thin enough, smart enough, rich enough, etc. I’ve seen this pattern gobble up years of people’s lives (including mine). And it’s senseless.

What really is enough?

Who says when enough is enough? There isn’t some superpower that reigns overhead with a checklist and cloke. I believe it’s the inner critique within us...
